The screens are the formative tools in the Exentis 3D screen printing technology. The production of Exentis screens takes a few days and is done at a fraction of the cost of traditional production tools.
No post processing
The Exentis 3D screen printing technology enables a production of the components that is almost free of post-processing. Due to the in-house screen production with special screen fabric and the printable structure optimization with a resolution of less than 25 micrometres, Exentis achieves practically post-processing-free component surfaces.
Eco-friendly cold printing process
The Exentis 3D Mass Customization® technology is a cold printing process. On the one hand, this means that there is no need for costly cooling processes. On the other hand, it eliminates the need for single-part sintering processes, as Exentis combines thousands of industrial components and sinters them simultaneously in a final and separate process step.
The porosity of the parts can be adjusted between 0 and 40 percent with the Exentis 3D screen printing process. In this way, components with dimensions and cavities in the range of up to 40 µm can be realized.
Free choice of materials
The Exentis 3D screen printing technology enables free choice of materials. In addition to metals and alloys based on steel, copper, aluminium, titanium, refractory metals or rare earths, ceramics, glass, polymers, organic materials, and biomaterials can also be printed with the 3D screen printing technology. Due to the layer-by-layer build-up, different materials can also be combined in the form of lamellar structures.
